7 - Preparing for Ben's Homecoming Edition

1. Evie is still sick! Still! It will be a full week tomorrow. I think I see an end nearing but I am afraid to talk about it lest it backfire and Evie stays sick for even longer.

2. Ben left Africa today, 130AM Africa time to come home!! I am sooo happy!!

3. He has five layovers, and some are in really cool places like Ireland and Italy. I told him to get me postcards from all his layovers.

4. I am really trying not to think about Ben being here in just 3 days. It is unreal to me.

5. We both agree that this will be our weirdest reuniting in the 6 years that we have been together. Everything is so different now. When he left we were in the townhouse. Evelyn could sit up but that was it. I was still pumping for Evie. It was winter time. It's just all so different. All in good ways at least.

6. I am preparing for Ben's homecoming. I bought ingredients for Ben's favorite dishes (hummus and Kathleen's spinach souffle). I started doing laundry today, bed linens and clothes and towels. Tomorrow I am going to get Ben's Jeep an oil change and get his car cleaned up inside and out. I started cleaning the bathroom tonight but I am not done and I still need to vacuum the whole upstairs. I am getting closer to done. I am trying to kind of pace myself so I don't run out of stuff to do and go crazy between now and Monday.

7. Triathlon training has ceased since last Thursday. I really want to get back to training but since Evie hasn't been sleeping at night, neither have I. My only chance to sleep is in the morning when I would normally train. Hopefully I will be back to training by Sunday.

1.Be sure and squeeze all the H2O (water) out of the spinach.
2. Your husband takes priority over the training, until at least Wednesday.
3.ENJOY!!!!!!

I have know idea what it feels like to be in "waiting for your beloved" mode. Glad you're keeping it together so well.

I'm really happy for you!
