Binky Free since 5-19!!

Hi All,

Just a quick note to say that since I took Evie to the dentist on 5-19 and they told me it was time to nix the binky Evie has been binky free! And though she asks for it sometimes she is handling the cold turkey cut off very well. I am so glad!! My life is way easier now that I don't have to have 2 or 3 on me at all times and have access to a sink every 5 minutes because she throws or drops them on the ground. And I am happy that I can take pics of her without having to take the binky out first!

Also her speaking is taking off! She is adding words every day it seems like! She says thanks, shoes, sit down, and so many other words that I can't even think of. I am certain that the combo of no binky and being around other speaking kids is to blame for this jump in vocabulary.

So YAY for Evie, she really is becoming a big girl!!! =)

YAY! Pacifier abatement program on track! It's hard, but without a little bro or sis to remind her she will forget about them. Arabella's speech really took off when I limited the dee-dee to bedtime only. Amazing, isn't it?

Hi, Jen! I just randomly clicked on your blog yesterday, and discovered that it wasn't private--haha! I smiled to see such a cute pic of you and Evie--she's grown so much, and I love her hair!! And congrats on the pacifier! I can relate--James was a month shy of 3 when we sliced the tips off all his--he said "is boken" and that was about it! So easy. It is so nice to not have to deal with. Yay!

Anyway, so so sorry about the yucky stuff going on. It is close to my heart b/c my sister is going through nearly the same, and it's heart-breaking to say the least. She is so my hero for surviving and thriving though. Wow. God is really doing amazing things in her life. Anyway, I'm so glad you have such amazing supportive family around. ((hugs))

Good luck on the job front and school and all that--you have bunches happening! Lots to be excited about. :)

Just wanted to say Hey! Love,
Emily
